Moving away from Galveston...for now.

We finally made it back home to Galveston after 3 weeks of our “Hurrication”. We were both nervous and anxious to see what Ike left for us at our Marina Landing Apartment. Let's just say, Marina Landing really was a landing for the marina: there were boats everywhere! We were so blessed to not have any severe damage to our 3rd floor apartment. No water, wind, or major roof damage, just a little bit of insulation blown in through an opening in the roof. The apartments as a whole were trashed and "condemned". We were told to move out until further notice, but it was so bad we decided to pack everything up right then and there. Thanks to strong Dad and Ryan, and a lot of pick-up trucks were able to move almost everything from our apartment that day. We are now living with Mom and Dad here in Clear Lake and are having a great time. They have been so wonderful to us during these hard times. We don't know exactly what the future holds for us in many aspects: school, work, house...but we love our time with family and are happy to face our challenges head on!

Love this photo of you guys holding up the boat. Glad you are making things work despite the situation.
